Thanks Imar - that solved the problem. Just for grins I experimented a
little with the following results:
file attached to Outlook Express at source --> Outlook received as "read
only";
file attached to Outlook Express at source --> my Hotmail account received
as NOT "read only"
Anyway, my boss is happy - coulda been the 3 day weekend, I suppose, and
not my little db.
