I dint get exactly what you meant, But I need to identify whether the user
is on Intranet or Extranet right from the first page.

How about something really simple like passing through the location from the
pages they come from!  Assuming that you have control of those pages aswell.

from Intranet or from extranet other than detecting the IP Address of the
