Probably, some of the images of the page where obtained without the "s"
after the http, and because of it the notice showed. You didn't send
insecure info, but obtained some images (the logo, perhaps, or some
colorfull bar...) that could be read by other people. Don't worry too much
about it.

Asunto: [security_asp] non secure site mishap
Hi, I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to computers, so when responding
please use as basic language as possible!
My problem is this: I signed up on a site which required both credit card
and bank account. There was an "s" after the http, and a little lock on
the bottom of the screen. But when I pressed "enter", a notice came up
saying that some of the info might be routed to a non-secure site. I
accidentally hit yes instead of no, so now I'm afraid that my info is
floating around in cyberspace. Please help me (I'd rather you tell me
I'm being paranoid, if that is true). Thank you.
