Did you check your permissions to see what has changed?

I've seen no reports of such a thing happening elsewhere as a result of
applying SP3 (and it's not my personal experience either - we have 8 SQL
Server 2000 instances here). But we're running Integrated Authentication on
all of them, so I can't speak about instances that are using SQL Server +
Integrated Authentication.
