It is possible to make an exe file in MS ACCESS?

Thanks

Nope. But you can get a redistributable version of MSAccess.exe and its

supporting files with the developer version of Office. Or you can convert

your front-end stuff to VB and just use the .mdb as a data store...

Hope that helps.

I have the developer version. And yes it does create an executable (Sort

of). What happens is that it packs a copy of an MS Access runtime that is

stripped down to the basics. When you write the App. you'll have to keep

this in mind, because unless you build the menus and toolbars, most of MS

Access's functionality will not follow along.

I have had pretty good luck with it so far. The setup package determines

whether the user already has a runtime version available and either

installs it or doesn't depending on need. The first install is usually

pretty big, going forward though, any additional apps you deploy using the

runtime to that user's machine are usually of a more manageable size.

Hope this helps.
