asp_databases thread: MDAC 2.7

Message #1 by dont worry <aspmailbox@y...> on Wed, 5 Dec 2001 07:30:30 -0800 (PST)
How can I tell the current version of MDAC? I

downloaded the asp.net sdk and went to download MDAC

2.7, but the microsoft details said it did NOT support

SQL 7, which I'm running. Will it mess up current

apps if I install?

Due to issues with clustering, this release is currently NOT supported on

SQL 7.0 Clustered Servers or SQL 6.5 Clustered Servers.

My point is that MDAC 2.7 *is* supported on SQL Server 6.5 and SQL Server 7

*unless* you are using clustered servers. In your case it may be usable. See

the link I posted.
