beginning_php thread: More on Two URL's One Site

Message #1 by "Jon Shoreman" <jon.shoreman@b...> on Mon, 22 Apr 2002 23:23:16
Thank you to all who replied to my previous thread. But unfirtunatly I
didn't get the answer I was looking for. Probably because I din't explain
myself properly. So I'll try again.

I have one web server that has many URL' pointing too it.
www.url1.com
www.url2.com
www.url3.com
etc. etc.
Each URL shows the same site, but uses different graphics.
So, within php some how, I want to be able to find out which URL is being
used, so I can display the right graphics.

I don't know if the following predefined variables will help you or not, but
they're all I can think of that seem pertinent:

$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']
$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']

The SERVER_NAME seems the most useful, since you can configure apache to
serve each of those urls as virtual hosts on the server. It would serve up
the same directory, but the virtual hostname should be different...

good luck,

nik
