browser_compatibility thread: SV: Netscape 4 not displaying Input boxes

Message #1 by "Robert Nyman" <robert.nyman@c...> on Tue, 12 Nov 2002 12:00:25 +0100
You need to have FORM tags around your INPUT boxes to get them to
display.

For example:

<form>
	<input type=3D"text">
</form>

/Robert

Dear All,

This is my problem . I created an ASP page with Dreamweaver MX . It
worked perfect with IE ,
NN 6 and NN 4.7
I had to open it in Interdev to add a few scripts . After which the page
worked in IE & NN 6
but
it does not display the input boxes in NN 4.7 .

I tried almost everything . Is there a solution ?

Please help..........

Hi all,

The form tag works fine but there is another problem . I am trying to POST
the values of the form fields to another .asp page , before which I validate
the fields .

I used the following javascript statements to submit

document.f2.action="formsample.asp"
document.f2.method="post";
document.f2.submit();

If I include more forms say f3,f4 ... enclosing each form fields , how do I
POST the values of those fields as well ?

Please help . It is an emergency.

The theory would be to assign an ID to the Form tag or form f2 then
gather
the data from each of the other forms. Dynamically create hidden form
fields
(using something like document.getElementById("Info").innerHTML =3D
"<input
type=3D'hidden' value=3D'{value}' name=3D{name}>" the info ID would be
an empty
div tag contained within the form f2) and then submit the f2 form

If confused just give me a nudge/mail
Quinton.

P.S. this would only work with IE4+ and NS6+ and possibly Opera 5+

Thanx for the clue . though what u had suggested did not enter my skull , I
just got another HIDDEN suggestion from the repl .

If I can have many hidden fields in the last form say f4 and get these other
form field values to these hidden fields and then Submit f4 can I retrieve
the value using Request.form ?

Please comment.
