html_code_clinic thread: <select> input types

Message #1 by John Owen <JOWEN@f...> on Tue, 9 Oct 2001 13:13:38 -0500
I'm guessing the DOM is hosed for this particular type. I can produce the
bug in a simple html file for any who would like to see it.

I've heard this problem being mentioned before, but never saw a solution or
even an explanation. I've never heard of a limit like that, but obviously
something's amiss.

What's the deal with selects? I have some jsp pages where I want to
implement a batch entry system (around 50 lines) that have select elements
on each line. It seems when I place more than 15-20 on a page, the page
wigs
out and doesn't display the select elements correctly. Is there a limit to
the number of <select> tags you can use on a page or is there a limit to
the
number of <option> tags that can be declared? I'm really frustrated at
this
point. I'm developing for IE 5.5, if that helps.
