interdev_programming thread: Connection and Command Objects

Message #1 by "Tarey M. Gettys" <tareyg@y...> on Fri, 5 Oct 2001 16:10:04
Hi,

When you create a connection object and command object using the menu in
Visual InterDev, it creates the code in the global.asa file. Is this good,
bad, or indifferent? Are there any efficiency or security aspect to doing
it that way or creating everything on the asp page.

Also, I have queries in an Access database. In the Visual InterDev
DataEvironment, some of the queries show up under Views and some under
Stored Procedures. What's the difference? When the query is in views the
command object seems to work fine but not if the query is listed in stored
procedures.

Thanks,
Tarey
