     Coral,

Instead of using the common dialog box, try using the Directory
Control and referenceing the dir1.path as your target folder.

I have an application where I require the user to select a folder to put
things in and retrieve things from, but the open dialog box wants you to
select a file name and often this folder has no files, only sub-folders.
Is there any way around that?

I was considering building my own dialog, and I was wondering if there is
any way of using the Microsoft 'Look In' combo box.

Thanks, Coral
