proasp_howto thread: Email without SMTP

Thanks to all of you who has given help regarding EMAIL. The help provided
was really good. It helped me to study more on this topic. Currently I am
using jmail component to send mails from ASP Pages.

Yes, SMTP is the back-end protocol for pop3 interface.  Even when you are
using web mail say yahoo mail.  the mail still have to go to your ISP SMTP
area before it went out.
