My advice on using DataSet Globally: Don't. What are you trying to do that requires you to pass an entire dataset around?

Anytime you place something in session it consumes server resources and can degrade preformance of your application if 1)You are storing ALOT of information inside the dataset and 2) If you have multiple people accessing your site all storing their own dataset in session.
