Default Opening web application from VS 2003

Hi

I have just got all of our website code out of sourcesafe, but can't seem to open the projects in sourcesafe.

The website I am trying to work on is http://localhost/testweb

At present, this is located in c:\inetpub\wwwroot (so default place) but I have also tried using a virtual directory as well.

Then, I opened vs and clicked File --> Open --> Project from web

URL http://localhost/testweb

And there is nothing in this folder. Hmm!

The website http://localhost/testweb works - I can return various pages, although there is an error in the asp code. However, iis does think that the address exists.

Any ideas?

Toby

I have installed fp server extensions and this made no difference.

hi,

Do you have the solution file of the project? if so, then instead of opening the project inside VS, open the solution file directly. You can do the same with project file as well

Be informed that solution file may not exists in the same directory and you may have to search for it in some folders. One such folder is My Documents --> Visual Studio Projects
