the email of asp.net
I have a problem of using asp.net to send email. My school have blocked the smtp port and service to send email, so I can't write a asp.net program to automatically send email, Can anybody help to solve this problem? Can asp.net using http method to send email, if yes, how to write the code?

Did you try the System.Web.Mail.MailMessage class, and that was blocked? Can you try specifying a different SMTP address, such as your personal account or something else to send through? It will use it to send, but you can still use the main account to receive emails through.

HTTP is HTTP. It is not SMTP.
I have this problem when I develop at home. My broadband provider blocks SMTP requests to addresses outside their network. So all I need to do is use the provider's SMTP server. They allow SMTP request to there SMTP server from within their network.
I imagine that your school might be similar so you might want to try that. Otherwise, you should contact the schools network administrator(s) and tell them their so-called "security feature" is impeeding on your education. ;)

or just create a webservice outside the school zone that allows you to send emails and build an application to link to it.
Just a thought!
