I am migrating from classic ASP to ASP .NET, but I have heard that beta version for .NET is freely availabe on net, if so can anyone give me link for downloads.

The beta's are for .NET 2.0 There are different versions, including a specialized version for ASP.NET development, called Visual Web Developer. Check out the link posted earlier + this one: http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/vwd/default.aspx
Be aware that all this is for ASP.NET 2.0, and *not* for ASP.NET 1.1
