Forum System - Where to Store Data?

HI,

I am creating a Forum System, this is a small system,

I want to know where to store the forum data(Messages posted by users),

Should I store it in SQL database or a Text File.

Please suggest something.

Disk I/O for text files is very, very slow compared to accessing a database. I wouldn't even consider using a textfile.

If this is a small application, you may want to consider using a lightweight db like Access or VistaDB, rather than SQL Server. I use Vista DB on my blog and it's very slick.
