Pls help me in restricting the size of an image while displayin it to the userside.

Also let me know how to restrict the size of an image file while inserting it to the database ...

 The scenario is like this:::

Pls go through this....

I have two images of different sizes(Thumbnail---120X120 and Detailed ---400X400 or more).
How do i make validations to the dimensions of the file while inserting the file to the database.


Pls help me .
