and if i type winmysqladmin and try to create a data base I get error, u have to

Open a command console and go into your \bin mysql folder, usually something like

C:\mysql\bin

Type this:

mysql net start

HTH!

Hello snib,
Thanks :)

Its solved, though I had to try a lot and then google the error and came up with this sugestion.

The sql was and is installed in c:\mysql
but when I checked the file manually it was remarked as

Quote:
quote:
# location
basedir = d:/mysql/
datadir = d:/mysql/data/
Just changed the drive letters and rebooted and it worked.

Thanks for your time

Regards
