Default how to run code snippet in regular interval

hi
I an creating app in VB 6 and DB is SQL Server 2000
I want to run few line of code in VB i.e
executing the sql query in regular interval of time.
But i want to do this without using Timer control.

Any ways available for this.

What's the problem with the timer control? That's the correct way to do that...

Put the code on a button click event, and click that button on a regular basis.
