excel 2007 vba UDF

I want to use a udf in a cell to return a value of a cell that is in a cell in a column to the right of the calling cell. I would use an if statement to determine which cell to return.
I am new to Excel VBA.

Did you notice that you were posting to a category having to do with ACCESS and not Excel?
