Unhappy Using Databases from Download

How do enable use of downloaded databases? I unzipped the download. I have opened a form in form view that has code behind it but the code doesn't execute. For example, when I type information in a textbox and hit enter, the AfterUpdate event of the textbox won't execute. Also, when I open a form, the Load event for the form doesn't execute. I have successfully executed other code from Wrox. I'm sure there is an easy solution and I am forgetting something. How do I execute code attached to a form from an Access Database downloaded from Wrox?

Thank you!

Sorry to post this question. I haven't worked with Access in years. I enabled macros and it works as expected.
