No, it hasn't.

At the top of the topic list on the from you'll find links to the translated code for two chapters: CMS and Blog.

Cheers,

Imar

Hi,
I noticed that all examples from the book require sql 2005 express.
I have instead sql 2005 dev. is this cms or fileshare working with 2005 dev also?

I tried to setup the ASPNETDB database into sql with no success.

Thanks,
Daniel

Yeah, you should be able to attach the .mdf files to your version of SQL Server 2005.

Take a look here for more info: http://imar.spaanjaars.com/QuickDocId.aspx?quickdoc=395

So what is the trick to get the CMS to work? I've downloaded the code plus updates from the web site as instructed in Jim Minatel's post and overwritten the stuff that was copied from the cd. But if I type in the user Administrator with the password Admin123# as instructed in the book, all I get is "Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again."

Hi there,

If the steps outlined in the errata (e.g. copy over the database and the web.config file) and the new files don't work for you, you can easily get "past the security" by removing all the <location> elements from the web.config file.

Alternatively, you can use the Web Site Administration tool (from within Visual Web Developer) and create a new Administrator role and user account.

Let me know if you need more help with this.

Cheers,

Imar
