Default Greeting Cards Image Upload Inside Update Panel

I am trying to adapt the SelectImage.ascx control from the Greeting Cards (Ch. 11) application for use on a site but having trouble getting this to work inside an update panel. I am continually just getting "Please select an image first..." error. If I move the control outside the update panel it works fine.

Any suggestions out there on how to make this work?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Uploading files from within an UpdatePanel is not supported out of the box due to security and other technical reasons. Take a look here:

http://geekswithblogs.net/ranganh/ar....net-ajax.aspx
http://forums.asp.net/t/1105208.aspx
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...ePanel&aq=f&oq=

Hope this helps,

Imar

Hi there,

Take a look here: http://imar.spaanjaars.com/290/how-d...-and-databases and here: http://imar.spaanjaars.com/287/how-d...un-my-web-site

Depending on your version of IIS (7.x), your account may be named after your connection pool.

Cheers,

Imar
