forumuser - i'd be interested to see what you finally honed into for your templates if you were willing to share with us?? just that you seem to know what you're up to and so i'd imagine your revised templates are pretty tight.
Sounds really great! Add a module for Announcements and I'd be even more excited. ;-) Though I recognize that would not be necessary for the purpose of the book.
Which reminds me: If you provide a facility in the event system to display a monthyly calendar that not only displays data and allows clicks (easy to find) but can host DDLs and mini detailsviews i think that would be pretty cool.
