Code Generator

Hello Every One

I am trying to implement code generator in vb.net & I have followed exact same steps for COM Interop & I have saved .vsz file in the following location

Code:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VB\VBProjectItems

When I am trying to add I am getting an error Invalid at the top level of the document

I am setting ComVisible to true as stated but still I am getting the above error.

Is it something related language since I am trying to generate in vb is something to do .....

Close and restart Visual Studio completely (not just the solution).
Then rebuild your Code Generator Project and try it.

If this works, then for the future, whenever you make changes to the code gen project files, after changing:
1. save project/solution
2. close & restart VS
3. Build code gen project
4. Add Item's...

Again, that's if restarting fixed the problem.

Still getting the same error even after restarting the visual studio and rebuilding the project...

I have built and load the application. However, it does not show any items in the connection or table dropdown boxes. Does anyone have any idease as to why?

1. To resolve the invalid error, verify that the correct namespace and class name are in the three .vsz files. You need to use the full name for the class that implements the IDTWizard interface.

2. If your web project is set up to run in VS instead of IIS the code provided won't work. You'll have to replace this code with something else:

 OpenConfiguration(p.Name.Substring(p.Name.IndexOf("localhost") + 9))

It needs a relative URL to access the web.config of the web project. Another alternative might be to iterate through the Project Items for each project and get the web.config files that way.

I got everything as described but still nothing! Found on the other thread here that files need to be in ANSI, did that and still nothing!
Can this be a Windows 7 issue?
