Default Access 2997 VBA - error

I have this error in Chap 10 when I try to run the SQL.

My SQL gives me the error: [DBNETLIB] [connection open (Connect) ().1] SQL Server does not exist or access denied. What am I doing wrong or is there something wrong with the installation. Any help would be appreciated.
Any help would be appreciated
