Yes, that makes a lot of sense. Maybe you had Identity set to off when you initially created the diagram? Normally, Visual Studio sets this property for you when you create the diagram and the table has an Identity column.
And sorry about not fully understanding your earlier message. I only saw part of the thread when replying and forgot this was about the first error posted, not the one about the "Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user: 'HGO\102225'" error... On top of that, I was having an identical discussion in a different thread and thought this post was a follow up on that one ;-)
