Default Exported Reusable Page Templates not showing up

I'm working through this book and am having a problem with the Reusable Templates. (TIO on page 225)

Last weekend I did this Try it out and was able to create a template, save it, and then open new pages with it as the base. I used your example of "MyBasePage" as the template name.

Tonight, for some reason, I wanted to make a change, and so I went through the steps again. My only change (as far as i know) was to add a couple of comment lines. When I saved my newer template, I saved it as "MyNewBasePage".

The NEW page doesn't show up when I do an Add>Add New Item. The old template was there, not the new one. (I tried looking at the list in alphabetical and default order).

Both (old and new template) .ZIP files are in the places they should be.

I've quit VS and restarted. I even went and powered the computer off to see if that helped.

I was all ready to do more exciting stuff tonight after work, but I've spent the past 90 minutes just on this. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I shut everything down the other day after I typed this, had dinner and a cold lagerthen came back to it and I was able to create a new Template.

I think what I may have been doing wrong was that somehow the language got switched to C# even though I always use VB.

Anyway, I'm back and working.

>> had dinner and a cold lagerthen came back

That usually does the trick for me too ;-)

Glad you got it to work.
