Default Visual Studio 2010 Express

Hello,

Just have a little question. Ive just got the book and i am currently fellowing the book with the RC edition of Visual Studio 2010 since its not been released yet and because i am awaiting the Express editions.

I know there is a beta 2 out of the express edition but i was wondering if there is somewhere details on the release date of the non-betas express editions ?

Thanks.

I expect final Express Editions on April 12 when the final full versions will be publicly released. I don't know if there's been any official announcement to that effect but that was how the timing worked on the last version.

Hi Rushino,

Yes, unfortunately, there was no RC of the Express products. But as Jim pointed out, Express 2010 should be released together with the full versions of VS on April 12th.

Have fun with the book!

Thanks. Then i will continue using the RC version and install the express when they will be released.

Oh and about the book, do not worry i am having lots of fun ! i finished chapter 1 and so far i really love how it is done. You've done a really great job! I also love the new topography of the Wrox book, they have a nice professional feel. Its my first Wrox book purchase and so far i am impressed. I am a PHP programmer and moving to ASP is quite new for me. I wanted to discover the avantages of ASP.NET comparing to PHP and ASP.NET look a promising technology, so that gonna be a great learning for me. The other reason ive ordered the book is because ive got a summer job where i will have to build an ASP.NET website in VB.. so that gonna help me a lots!

Thanks for having wrote this book and thanks for the reply!

You're more than welcome.

Good luck, and if you get stuck or need a helping hand, I am sure you know where to go to....
