Text Box not updated in Visual Web Developer
When trying the "try it out" in chapter 1 (p. 19), the entry into the text box on the web page is not shown in the HTML in the developer - no "value = is added. When I view the source on the web page, the text box is updated with the value entered, but nothing changes in the developer html.

Hi Chester,
Are you using Chrome as your browser? If so, you may find these two posts useful:
Things that work for Firefox but not for Google Chrome
No return text on "First ASP.NET Web Page"
Cheers,

In that case, can you post the markup of the page, the initial HTML of the page in the browser and the HTML in the browsert after a postback?
If you post code, please paste it in Notepad first to remove color coding and then use the forum editor's Code toolbar button to wrap your code in code tags.
Also, what's the exact address you see in the browser's address bar?
BTW: what exactly do you mean with "but nothing changes in the developer html"? Maybe it works correctly but you're expecting something to show up somewhere where it's not going to show up?
