Not sure I understand why that means you can't call them.

How are you trying to access this functionality?

After you attached the database, what are your steps? Are you creating a new query? In other words, where do you expect the Diagram button to light up?

Hi Imar,
Sorry let me clarify.
I am learning ASP.net for my job, and I am doing it in the office, but I cannot use the phones in the office, so I can't call them.
I have found the problem. Diagrams have been removed from the 2012 version because they are no longer supported. I dont know why they have kept the greyed out diagram icon, but the folder for "Database Diagrams" is no longer there.
So how do you suggest I do step 2 onwards from page 498?
according to this, the diagram Pane is still accessible.

I'm very confused, and I'm sorry for bothering you so much.

Would you mind explaining how for future visitors with similar issues?
BTW: where did you read diagrams are no longer supported? I can use them just fine on SQL Server 2012 databases.
Cheers,
Imar

I have both sql 2008 and sql 2012 installed,
I had to have the correct one activated in services, before it could be accessed properly.
I read about it here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...a-diagram?rq=1
