Pop Up Menu on Template
Hi,
I am a beginner and would like to know why the pop up menu behaviour is greyed out when I try to use it on my buttons on my template page. Must be something simple but I can't find the answer anywhere!
Thanks

You're not overlooking something. Pop ups in templates are not supported. One of the reasons is the messy code Dreamweaver creates. With that code, it's impossible to manage the links inside the menu.
You *could* create a menu in a normal page, and then copy it over to a template page. However, I wouldn't recommend using the pop up menus at all. They are a hell to maintain and create really ugly and non standards compliant code.
If you want better menus that are work better and are much easier to maintain, take a look here; http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns/
Cheers,
Imar

Oh, if you want to learn something new everyday, this is indeed the best place to be....
If you have question about the menu, come back here, but please choose a different forum, like the general Dreamweaver forum; this one is for the books "Beginning Dreamweaver MX and MX 2004" and not for general Dreamweaver related topics....
Cheers,
Imar
