Page 158 - TRY IT OUT - Writing text to the output window

I am able to successfully execute this program and get the correct results in the regular prompt window. However, the messages that are shown in the text on page 160 are not printing to my Output Window(debug mode).

I followed the "Debugging in VS and VSE" instructions on page 156, but when I select TOOLS ---> OPTIONS , I do not see SHOW ALL SETTINGS in the options dialog box. However I was able to enable the SHOW ADVANCED BUILD CONFIGURATION box.

I am using the MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO 2010 IDE.

please advise.
