Default Apache

Hi I'm having problem with Apache I install it and set these settings:

 DomainName = leap2.co.uk
 ServerName = www.leap2.co.uk
 ServerAdmin = webmaster@leap2.co.uk
 ServerPort = 80
 ServerRoot = C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2

Once i had installed it there was an error i got a DOS Window popup!

When i try to do a test "http://localhost/" it says Done in the status bar but there is know successful message, also I have downloaded this version of Apache apache_2.0.50-win32-x86-no_ss

Everyone has been having problems with the initial installation process. The best thing you can do is to download the exact version that was used when they published the book because the versions they have now.


Apache 2.0.49 (Win32), PHP 4.3.7, MySQL 4.0.15-win

I am still trying to find that old Mysql version if you find it first let me know.

Ok so the old mySQL is this MySQL 4.0.15-win? if not what is it ill look out for it for you!

thats the old mysql that the on that was used in this book.

Hi have installed the older version of apache apache_2.0.49-win32-x86-no_ssl

I still get the same errors i only want to set it up so i can follow this book along, my friend said i don't need to fill the domain name details in but when i don't it says i have to.

anymore help?
