Chapter 10, Page 387 Document Version History
Hi,
“Now Sharepoint only stores the delta, that is, the information updated, not complete document as in previous Sharepoint versions.”
- I am wondering if there is any information from Microsoft available about this, or any other resources?
- I would also like to know if this only applies to certain kinds of documents, like *.docx? and
- How does this affect versions in a migration from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007?
We are calculating on how much storage will increase or decrease after a migration from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007; with the citation above in mind that could mean that all versions of document s would either be converted to only store the “delta”, or all new versions after the point of migration would store the “delta” and the old versions made in 2003 would still be complete copies of the document.
Thanks
G
