Hi Kareem,

This book focuses specially on the usage and customization of the application rather than configuration of the server which is what exams such as the following would offer:

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-630.mspx

If you are looking for a book that focuses more on the configuration and administration of the server to cover what the above exam would be testing, I would recommend another Beginning SharePoint book which is available at the following link:

http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/0470125...pf_rd_i=507846

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks Amanda,
Also I just want to know if there is a professional next version of the book?, it would be great, what I recommend also is to have a complete real life project that the book explains who to release from A-Z.
Thanks Again.
Good Book!:)

Hey Kareem,

I think a Professional version of the book with a real world example would be an excellent book. Who knows what the future will bring. =-)

There is a new book coming out in a few weeks that does something quite similar to your suggestion. Rather than a single example, it is comprised of multiple scenarios written by 16 SharePoint MVPs. The other author of this book, Shane Perran, contributed to one of the chapters in fact.

You can learn more on that book here:

Thanks for your great ideas!

Take care,
Amanda
