Default chapter 16 pg 570

Hi

I have copied the code for inserting a new book into the example, and an error appears

"Input string was not in a correct format."

I have checked all the code, and everything upto that point works fine, and is copied correctly.

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks

Andrew

I have checked all the parameter settings against the database (sql), and set any to Currency, date or int, if required.

On both the Add function and Update function, it comes up with the same error message.

Please help.

Would it be useful for me to add the code?

Thanks

I'm one of the original authors on this book and am going to look into this for you. Could you please provide the chapter number and page number of the example you have referenced here.

Thanks,
Thearon

Sorry for the previous post, I noticed the chapter and page number in the posting title after I submitted my last response.

Could you provide the exact error message received and the exact line of code that is causing the error?

Thanks,
Thearon
