Default Error on Page 15

On page 15 of this book, it states, "Make sure you are at the step where you can enter and execute SQL commands. Repeat Steps 1 through 6 of the first Try It Out exercise and then run these statements to insert four records in your single table, single column database:"

Unfortunately, running steps 1 through 6 of the first try it out only gets you to a new query window. Unless you actually executed the CREATE DATABASE library; and CREATE TABLE myLibrary commands prior to the first Try It Out, you are NOT at a stage where you can enter the INSERT INTO command listed on page 15 because you won't have a database nor a table to insert anything into.

If we are meant to execute the statements in the text as well as in the Try It outs, this should be clearly called out. There is way too much ambiguity on whether we need to execute sample statements or not. If you have Try It Out, this is where the code the reader should execute needs to be placed, not assumed that we would execute code in the text of the book.

I have SQL2008 R2 and I can connect to my database by clicking on the first button under Object Explorer on side of SQL Manager.
