Smile Welcome, readers!

Hi everyone -- I just wanted to start this forum by saying thank you so much for buying my book. I hope you found it helpful and interesting. This is a good place to ask questions about techniques demonstrated in the book.

If you're looking for a more advanced book on Joomla, I recommend "Joomla! Start to Finish: How to Plan, Execute, and Maintain Your Website", also from Wrox and also by me.

If you need help with more advanced topics not covered in the book, you can also try the Joomla forum at http://forum.joomla.org.

Thanks!
Jen

Using Joomla! 24 -Hour Trainer and looking forward to the Long Term Joomla V2.5.

Will you be updating your books, particularly:

Hi Evans -- I would love to update these books for the latest version of Joomla, but I have not been asked to do so.

If you're looking for great Joomla training materials from me, check out lynda.com. I have lots of Joomla videos posted there, and I'm about to record some more. Watch for new titles coming soon!

Jen

Question Installing Joomla

Following instructions in the book Joomla! 24 hour Trainer, using Rochen's utilities I clicked on the Joomla icon and the page states No Joomla! installations were found, use the tool below to Install or Migrate an installation. Install Joomla!
Install the latest Joomla! 3.0 or 2.5 with optional security tweaks to help protect your site.
Migrate Joomla! Migrate an existing Joomla! 1.5 or newer from another host.
By default you will receive the latest Joomla! version and security tweaks to help protect your site.
Where to go from here?
