I want to create a category list as per fig 6-29 in the book, but I am having difficulties in displaying the menu on the left as per the example, I want to create an FAQ Style of display, but want to be able to allow the user to return to the first / welcome page, So what am I missing !!
Thanks for responding, I was having difficulties with the main_menu located on the left using the regular supplied template, as the menu disappeared when the category list was being displayed, I have since refreshed the database, as I suspect I corrupted it at some point, probalbly due to me overthinking the problem ( some developers do this !) .
I have used many of the suggestions from the book, ie the database backup
extension (now called akeeba) , and am chugging away nicely.
Thanks for putting the book together, I will be reading further !
