Category List Problem
Hi All,
I want to create a category list as per fig 6-29 in the book, but I am having difficulties in displaying the menu on the left as per the example, I want to create an FAQ Style of display, but want to be able to allow the user to return to the first / welcome page, So what am I missing !!

Hi Colin! I've been traveling, so I'm sorry it's taken a while to answer this. I had to get home to look up the figure...
When you say "the menu on the left", are you refering to Main Menu?

Category List problem
Hi Jen
Thanks for responding, I was having difficulties with the main_menu located on the left using the regular supplied template, as the menu disappeared when the category list was being displayed, I have since refreshed the database, as I suspect I corrupted it at some point, probalbly due to me overthinking the problem ( some developers do this !) .
I have used many of the suggestions from the book, ie the database backup
extension (now called akeeba) , and am chugging away nicely.
Thanks for putting the book together, I will be reading further !

It could be because the main menu module was not assigned to display on your new category list page. Or something weird might have happened.
I'm glad you're finding the book helpful! Akeeba Backup really is the best. It's saved us on many, many occasions.
