Hi Colin! I've been traveling, so I'm sorry it's taken a while to answer this. I had to get home to look up the figure...

When you say "the menu on the left", are you refering to Main Menu?

Thanks!
Jen

Default Category List problem

Hi Jen

Thanks for responding, I was having difficulties with the main_menu located on the left using the regular supplied template, as the menu disappeared when the category list was being displayed, I have since refreshed the database, as I suspect I corrupted it at some point, probalbly due to me overthinking the problem ( some developers do this !) .

I have used many of the suggestions from the book, ie the database backup
extension (now called akeeba) , and am chugging away nicely.

Thanks for putting the book together, I will be reading further !

Best Regards

Colin

It could be because the main menu module was not assigned to display on your new category list page. Or something weird might have happened.

I'm glad you're finding the book helpful! Akeeba Backup really is the best. It's saved us on many, many occasions.

Jen
