Default Chapter 3 Application Class

I am a little confused in this section when it comes to listing 3-7. I already have my class that I defined that was extending Activity, from chapter 2.

Am I suppose to replace that class with this one?

If not how do I go about creating a new one? I apologize if this is too easy but I am brand new.
