Default Android equivalent to hyperlink needed on application

I am new to the android development environment and I am trying to find the best way to add the equivalent of a HTML hyperlink to a web site to an android application. I am using android 2.2 with Eclipse and an emulator. I would just like to see an example of how to do one of these in an application in the simplest way possible with no other features in the application. I am a PHP programmer and this is all different to me. I want to learn these controls one at a time. I have the book and have searched the web well, but have found 0 examples of an actual button or text link in an application that will lead the user to a URL as a hyperlink does on a web page. I would like to see complete code for this as in the entire Java file and any XML files needed to make it work right. Thank you;
