Default debugging steps for : No installed apps work with this USB accessory...

Getting the following error displayed immediately on plugging in my ADK board via USB to my Android device

'No installed apps work with this USB accessory. Learn more about this accessory at http://media.wiley.com'

I in fact have applications installed on my Android device with the following usb-accessory defined in my accessory_filter.xml

Code:
<usb-accessory manufacturer="Wiley" model="Kitchen Lamp " version="1.0"

Does this suggest the problem MUST reside with the ADK board and any firmware installed?

How should I debug this?

Furthermore the supplied url does not work. get the following error
