Default Beginner's Question regarding Registration

Hi there, I've just picked this book up as it's recommended as a good start for MVC.

Working through the NerdDinner application, I'm interested in extending the Registration form to accept an additional field - For example, I'm using 'How did you hear about us'. Just to mix the problem up a little, I want the Site Administrator to be able to Approve the account before it can be used!

I'm not quite sure how this would work however, is anyone able to shed light on how this can be achieved?

Kindest Regards,
