Default How to install the sample databases?

I've downloaded the sample databases, but I'm having difficulty installing them. There don't seem to be any installation files and if I try attaching the .mdf files in SQL Server Management Studio, it fails. Am I missing something?

I have the same problem. They are a .bak file so I tried changing that to a .mdf but didn't work.
