Default XNAPong trouble

Hello,
I have just started this book, and have already stumbled upon a problem. In Chapter 2,I have been able to draw the space background, but that is it. I have typed in the rest of the code to display the actual menu, but it is not showing. There are no errors coming up and I have even tried copying and pasting.
Could someone please help me find out the problem behind this?
Thanks in advance
