Setting Site Collection Administrator not working
When I try to set the collection administrator for the SSP site the Primary site administrator cannot be found. When attempting to set the Pesonalization permissions I get an Access Denied error.

Same Issue
I've also followed the examples in chapter 2, and receive an error that the admin account cannot be found. The only difference between my environment and the book, is that the db server is not on the same machine.
Has someone posted the answer in another thread?

same problem on Chapter 2
After creating intranet and aspnet, can NOT login to those new web sites in SharePoint. Spent about 3-4 hourstrying to troubleshoot and solve...The rest of the chapter falls apart at this point. See so solution since March posting... disappointed... will move on to other materials. Oh Well, used to this...
Regards,
Mark

DB Error
I had to ensure that the connection string user to the db had db_owner permissions for the fba db. This fixed my problem, and should be noted in the book and not assumed. A note after the aspnet db creation is all that needs to be added.
