Default VS Pro - The Longest Install ever

I started installing VS2010 Ultimate last evening. WOW! This process took forever. MS Product what else did I expect.
Then, BAM, AutoUpdates Kick in.

Currently installing the 4th or 5th round of Updates.

Maybe I can get to the Configuring the IDE sometime today!!!

Sorry it's taking so long but don't worry, you probably only have another 30 or 40 updates to go .

Default Totally Updated Even added a Turbo

The Updates are done and I added DevExpress to the package.

Go big or go home right?

In the mean time I am at the end of lesson 2. It's tough to start over as a programmer. 15+ years ago I was a COBOL and xBase programmer with some mainframe AdHoc thrown in. Then somehow I became a Network engineer, what was I thinking.

Currently I am an Enterprise Level 2 Remote Tech, so I am brushing up on my old skills and knocking the dust off. I have found myself trying way more advanced operations and writing code that I know is going to come later.

I have found it hard to stay on task. It's the way my head works. But hey, isn't that what programming is all about? Wander off and find the next new way of doing things.

Anyhow, time to hunker down and focus.

Thanks for the reply.

Coincidentally I had to install a couple of service packs for Visual Studio, too, and yes they did take forever!
